Tactile Machines is a retrospective collection of abstract audio-visual works created between 2015–2022.

The works aim to transport the audience into a meditative state through repetitive, rhythmic imagery and electronic soundscapes. The soundscapes were composed using hardware synthesisers and drum machines while the images were created using a combination of analogue video equipment and custom-made video synthesisers. The use of analogue technology adds an organic and raw quality to the works, which highlights the tactile nature of the machines used.

The works are influenced by early 1960s video art, Fluxus, Paul Sharits, early Warhol video works, La Monte Young's Dreamhouse, Ryoji Ikeda, James Turrell, and Charles Atlas.

*All tracks were written and produced by Tomas Jefanovas, except 'Harmony' written and produced by Michael Tomlinson. 'Holes' was written in collaboration with Christopher Brett Bailey. 'Magnetic Mirrors' was written and produced by Tasos Stamou. Mastering by Brassica. Album artwork & design by Tomas Jefanovas.

Alpha Untitled, 2016
Collaboration with Tasos Stamou

An immersive audio-visual installation based on alpha brainwave frequencies of 8–12Hz. Alpha waves are neural oscillations dominant in the brain during the state of deep meditation or the early stages of sleep. The combination of surround sound and visual projections is intended to encourage the visitor to experience a trance-like, meditative state.
